Sealwright Elastomers
A rubber and polyurethane parts maker’s website with a technical catalogue and drawing-based quotes, and the sales, plant, distributor and management systems behind it.

The brief
Engineers buying seals and moulded parts want specifications, stock and a fast quote, yet most Malaysian manufacturers’ sites show a product list and a WhatsApp number. Quotes are worked out in spreadsheets, distributors phone for prices and stock, and nobody outside the plant can see where an order is.
What we shipped
A website with a technical catalogue, size search, stock in three warehouses, price breaks and CAD files for every size; quote requests with drawings; an RFQ board and a split-screen quote builder for sales; a press schedule, final inspection and dispatch with export documents and e-invoices for the plant; a mobile distributor portal with tier prices and credit; and a monthly management review.
Built for: Manufacturers that sell standard parts through distributors and make custom parts to customers’ drawings, at home and for export.
Inside the build
Every part, and what it does
A closer look at what was actually built — screen by screen, so you can judge the depth for yourself.

Home page
Part search and drawing upload lead the page, backed by the plant’s lines, warehouses and inspection.
- Search by part number, size or material
- Upload a drawing for a quote
- Eight lines, three warehouses, every batch inspected

Technical catalogue
Part families filtered by material, temperature, hardness, pressure, motion, standard and stock, with a size search in millimetres or inches.
- Nine technical filters
- Temperature and pressure range on every family
- Sizes in stock and a “from” price

Sizes, stock and CAD
Each size shows stock in three warehouses, the ship date, price breaks and the minimum order, with a datasheet and CAD files for that exact size.
- Installation drawing redrawn for each size
- Add to an RFQ list or request samples
- Datasheet, STEP, STL and DXF

Custom part request
A five-step request with drawings, material and operating conditions, three quantities and delivery details.
- PDF, STEP and DXF drawings
- Every step checked before sending
- Lands on the sales board at once

Quote approval with a PO
The buyer compares three quantity breaks, tooling, lead time, terms and tax, then approves one break with a PO number.
- Tooling as a one-time line
- Sales tax exemption shown when it applies
- Approval books press time
Order tracking
A timeline from order confirmed to delivered, with the delivery order, the e-invoice and a named contact.
- Updates as the plant works
- Delivery order and e-invoice at dispatch
- Reorder once delivered

RFQ board
Requests from the website, email, distributors and WhatsApp in six stages, from new to won or lost.
- Filter by where the request came from
- New requests appear without a reload
- Won and lost, with the reason

Split-screen quote builder
The customer’s drawing sits beside the costing for three quantity breaks, with tooling and lead time worked out.
- Material, cycle time and cavities costed
- A price per break with its margin
- Questions and revisions to the customer

Press schedule
Eight lines over ten working days, with each day’s load, running jobs, maintenance and new bookings from approved quotes.
- Low stock suggests a job
- Move a job to a compatible press
- A dark board made for a wall screen

Final inspection
Readings are checked against the specification, and one out of tolerance holds the order and blocks dispatch.
- Pass or fail as readings are entered
- Sales is told about every hold
- A passing re-inspection releases the order

Distributor order pad
Regular parts at the distributor’s tier price, with live stock, sales tax and a credit check on every order.
- Gold, Silver and Bronze price tiers
- Stock from the nearest warehouse first
- Orders over the credit limit are blocked

Monthly review
Win rate and loss reasons, pipeline, on-time delivery, capacity, stock value, distributor sales and export share, read top to bottom.
- Live figures from the schedule, stock and pipeline
- Every chart has a table view
- Six or three months

What we saw
What Sealwright Elastomers does
What we saw
Seal makers show how a part sits in its housing with installation cross-sections.
What Sealwright Elastomers does
An original cross-section on every product family, redrawn for the size selected.
What we saw
The best catalogues make sizes easy to find, then a separate quote form asks you to type the part again.
What Sealwright Elastomers does
A size search that leads to size rows with “Add to RFQ”, so exact part numbers carry into the quote.
What we saw
MISUMI ties every option to a part number, a price, ship days and a CAD file.

Built in part
- Sustainability and regulation pages: compliance notes sit on the quality page; there is no separate sustainability page.
Left out, and why
- Case studies and testimonials: a concept must not invent customers.
- News and careers (2): neither is part of the buying journey this build proves.
- A live-chat widget: replaced by WhatsApp and phone, which Malaysian buyers expect.
- Other languages: English only for now; Bahasa Melayu is the next step.
- ERP integration: a concept has no ERP to connect; its order, stock and invoice records stand in for one.
Design research
How the leading sites look, and what we took
We measured the fonts, colours and layouts of the sites and products we studied, then applied what most of them share in an original design, on the public site and on every staff and partner screen.
Across the leading sites
In Sealwright Elastomers
Across the leading sites
Neutral sans-serif type everywhere, with headings at weight 600 to 700 and body text at 15 to 17 px. No serifs.
In Sealwright Elastomers
Archivo throughout, headings at 700 on a slightly narrowed width and body text at 16 px, with part numbers in tabular figures.
Across the leading sites
Cool, technical colour: navy or blue, sometimes with a red or gold accent, on white and cool greys. None uses cream or beige.
In Sealwright Elastomers
Ink navy and Sealwright blue with a polyurethane amber, on white and steel greys. The staff and partner screens use the same colours.
Across the leading sites
The product is the hero: studio shots of parts on white or pale grey.
In Sealwright Elastomers
A packshot for each category on a cool grey background, never repeated in one view.
Across the leading sites
Engineering drawings as a visual language, from installation cross-sections to drawings beside the costing.
In Sealwright Elastomers
An original cross-section on every family page, and the customer’s drawing beside the costing in the quote builder.
Across the leading sites
Specifications as tables and filters, with size tables and a millimetre or inch switch.
In Sealwright Elastomers
Nine technical filters, a size search with a millimetre or inch switch, and size tables for each family.
Across the leading sites
Stock, lead time and price shown next to the part.
In Sealwright Elastomers
Stock in three warehouses, ship days, minimum order and price breaks on every size row.
Across the leading sites
One action on every page: “Request a quote” in the header, beside a part-number search.
In Sealwright Elastomers
The same in every public header, with a counter for the RFQ list.
Across the leading sites
Staff tools are dense tables and boards; a plant’s schedule is read from a wall screen.
In Sealwright Elastomers
Screens laid out around each job: an RFQ board, a split quote builder, a dark press board, an order pad and a report read top to bottom.
Rules it follows
The business rules, built in
The prototype enforces each of these, so you can test them yourself.
Prices and quotes
- Price breaks by quantity
- Distributor tiers at 30, 24 and 18 % off list
- Custom parts costed from compound, weight, cycle time and cavities, with tooling as its own line
Capacity and stock
- An approved quote books hours on a compatible press
- Stock under its reorder level suggests a production job
- Minimum order and pack sizes enforced
Credit and payment
- Distributor orders over the credit limit are blocked, tax included
- Invoices age into 1–30, 31–60 and over 60 days
- Terms by account: 30, 45 or 60 days, and 30 % with an export order
Tax and e-invoicing
- 10 % sales tax on goods, waived while a customer’s exemption certificate is valid
- Exports exempt with the customs declaration reference
- A delivery order is not an e-invoice; the e-invoice shows its validation ID and QR code
Export, quality and data
- Incoterms 2020, with FOB and CIF for sea freight only
- Dispatch blocked until export documents are complete, or after a failed inspection
- An enquiry is passed to a distributor only with the visitor’s consent
Connected roles
One action, every screen
Every role works on the same records, so one person’s action shows up for the others.
- 1
A visitor in Kedah sends an enquiry and agrees to share it, so the local distributor sees it in their portal. Without consent it stays with Sealwright’s sales team.
- 2
A buyer sends a custom request with drawings, and the new card appears on the sales team’s RFQ board without a reload.
- 3
The estimator asks a question about the drawing, and the buyer sees it under “Needs your action”. The answer goes back to the quote.
- 4
The buyer approves a quantity with a PO, and the order books press hours. The planner sees the new booking, and the buyer’s order timeline starts.
- 5
A distributor orders 60 oil seals, and the stock drops on the product page, the stock screen and the order pad. Below its reorder level, the planner gets a suggested job.
- 6
The inspector records a hardness of 82 against 75 ± 5, so the order is held, dispatch is blocked and sales is told. A passing re-inspection releases it.
- 7
The warehouse dispatches, and the buyer and the distributor see the delivery order and the e-invoice at once.
Services it proves
Where Sealwright Elastomers is our example
Each of these service pages uses a part of Sealwright Elastomers to show the work. Open one to see what we would build for you.
- Dealer portalsShows: Distributor order padDistributors order at their tier’s prices with live stock from the nearest warehouse, and an order over the credit limit is blocked, tax included.
- Quotation systemsShows: Split-screen quote builderA manufacturer’s quote built beside the customer’s drawing: material, cycle time and tooling costed for three quantities, each with its own price.
- Inventory systemsShows: Sizes, stock and CADStock for every size in three warehouses, the same count buyers, distributors and the plant see. Below its reorder level, a part suggests a production job.
